Google deep dream distorted portrait

Google Deep Dream is program which finds and enhance patterns in images via algorithmic pareidolia, and creates a dreamlike hallucinogenic appearance in deliberately over-processed images.

Pareidolia is a psychological phenomenon wherein the mind perceives a familiar pattern of something where none actually exists. Essentially the program ‘thinks’ it sees a pattern in something and then exaggerates it. This is the algortihm that google uses to sort it’s images, given that the internet loves cats, it could explain why everything looks like a cats head.

Simply visit the link: http://deepdreamgenerator.com/ and upload your image and wait for the result to be generated. There is a method which involves more computation but you need to log in to access it. Keep dreaming.
